MEET JAVIER

I'm Javier Banuelos, and I'm running to be your voice as Alderman for Ward 7 in Aurora. 

My roots in Aurora run deep.  My parents immigrated from Mexico when I was very young, and since then, I’ve called this city home.  I grew up through School Districts 131 and 204 before proudly graduating from Waubonsie Valley High School. 

For over two decades, my wife and I have nurtured our family in this community. Our journey here has been one of both immense joy and profound loss. While we beam with pride watching our son flourish as a freshman at Waubonsie Valley High School, we also carry the bittersweet memory of our daughter, taken from us far too soon by bone cancer. This heartbreaking loss reshaped my life's purpose. I now work as an administrator for SkinCure oncology, a clinic offering non-invasive treatment for non-melanoma skin cancer.  

I am grounded in integrity and believe honesty isn’t optional. I am always true to my word. I value collaboration and never hesitate to acknowledge the hard work of those around me or give credit where it’s due. 

With me as your Alderman, gone are the days of feeling disconnected from city hall. Together, we'll create Ward 7 where every voice is heard, every concern is addressed, and every decision is made with full transparency.
