MEET JAVIER

For those of you who may not know me, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Javier Banuelos, and I'm running to be your voice as Alderman for Ward 7. 'm not a career politician – I'm a husband, a father, and a dedicated member of this community. 

My roots in AurorIa run deep. I've called this city home my entire life, growing up through School Districts 131 and 204 before proudly graduating from Waubonsie Valley High School. For over two decades, my wife and I have nurtured our family in this community we love so dearly. Our journey here has been one of both immense joy and profound loss. While we beam with pride watching our son flourish as a freshman at my alma mater, we also carry the bittersweet memory of our daughter, taken from us far too soon by cancer. This heartbreaking loss reshaped my life's purpose, leading me to a career in oncology where I support patients with the same compassion and understanding I aim to bring to our Ward.

With me as your Alderman, gone are the days of feeling disconnected from city hall. Together, we'll create Ward 7 where every voice is heard, every concern is addressed, and every decision is made with full transparency.
